Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain pushchair with lightweight durability and excellent maneuverability. Its compact one-hand fold makes it's lightweight and is freestanding when folded. The cushioned seat reclines to a near-flat position, and there's an enormous storage bin and canopy. Newborn suitability? Yes and with a carrycot.

Air-filled tyres and a good suspension can handle rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging, but you should wait until your baby is at least six or nine months old to do this.

Ickle Bubba XL Air

This lightweight pushchair from Ickle Bubba has a lot of features that parents will enjoy. It is an all-in-one travel system that includes a lie-flat carrycot designed for infants, a multi-position forward and rear-facing pushchair seat and a selection of a car seats, so you can get everything in one package.

The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to understand why it's earned the highest praise from customers. It's extremely light - the wheels and chassis weigh just 6.5kg - and it's also easy to put together. I was able to get it up and running in less than five minutes. This is amazing considering that it included attaching fabric for the carrycot.

The seat is spacious and comfortable for Annie who is just 12 months old. The recline lever was simple to use. The basket is spacious with plenty of space, and I am impressed that the handle bar has an area to keep your phone and keys safe.

The only issue is that the handlebar is quite low, which can be a problem for taller parents. However, it's encased with a luxurious leather-like material that is soft and comfortable, and it wipes down easily, so it's still easy to push even with children and bags on your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for athletic parents who want to go outside and explore. Its large pneumatic wheels were designed to be used on forest and field paths, and the front wheel can be swivelled and locked for extra versatility. The stroller also features a 5-point safety harness with a front bar to keep your child secure on all journeys. The parking brake keeps the stroller on its feet as you take a break. The comfy seat is easy to recline to a comfortable lying position, and the canopy opens up netting for optimum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm, to fit the needs of dad or mum.

The Runner will accompany you on your next adventure whether it's a leisurely walk, a longer hike, or a long-distance walk. It features a completely flat lay-flat seat that has suspension air wheels that provide smooth and comfortable riding. The front wheel can be locked for greater stability when walking on narrow streets or busy sidewalks. The stroller can also fold up to fit into car boot spaces and storage areas.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to maneuver for some parents than its predecessor. Also the locking system (requiring two buttons either on either side of the handlebar) isn't as user-friendly. The handlebar is higher than the ones of competitors', so it might not suit shorter parents but overall, it's a sturdy and versatile stroller worthy of consideration for families with active kids.

Red Kite Push Me pacing

The Pace is a different great product from Red Kite, an affordable British brand which is known for its simple and well-designed parenting essentials. It's their latest and the most expensive addition to their budget-friendly stroller line. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo, it is car seat compatible, meaning you can use it from the time of birth.

The new Pace features some stunning design touches such as the rose gold hue to the hood, chassis and stroller trims, which truly distinguish it from its rivals. The cream, grey, and tan fabrics in the stroller and the car seat are stylish and there is an option to add the leather handle for the cover and bumper bar too.

The stroller seat can be used from birth to a maximum weight of 22kg. It converts easily into a 2-in-1 reversible position, either parent-facing or facing the world. The stroller seat comes with several lie-back positions, plus comfortable padded leg rests, and an extended sun canopy with zip-off sections that are concealed, a viewing see-through flap, and retractable visor.

When folded, the Pace measures 56 x 43cm x 32cm, which allows it to be used as hand luggage on Easyjet and Ryanair. Two buttons on either side are easy use and can be clicked to lock it in the appropriate position.

Bugaboo Fox 5

The idea behind it is to create the ultimate all-terrain pushchair Bugaboo's newest Fox 5 promises to do everything. Its unique chassis has shorter wheel length which makes it easier to maneuver than its predecessor.  three wheel pushchair  put it to the test with my two children - an infant and an eight week old - over rocky pavements, grassy woodland walks and even cobblestones.

The puncture-proof wheels are big - 22cm and 30cm - therefore they are able to handle lots of different terrains. The wheels come with an opening that can be shut or opened to let air in when needed. It's a bit bigger than most pushchairs, but it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when you push it over bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat can be machine washed, and the faux leather frame and grips are easy to clean. It's also quieter than other pushchairs, and I felt comfortable using it in busy urban streets. It comes with accessory points that allow you to attach footmuffs and parasols as well as changing bags, snack trays, and even snack trays. The hood can be used to block out rain and wind, however it's not waterproof. The single pram can be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled Board (not included), which gives your child more legroom. It took around 20 minutes to set up the bassinet, and the same amount of time to convert it into the seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

If you're looking forward to running in the morning cool air or a moonlit stroll under the stars, the UPPAbaby Ridge makes every moment a shared adventure. This jogging stroller is all-terrain and has been optimized for performance to keep you and your child active.

The large, foam-filled 12" and 16 "tires give you smooth rides regardless of the terrain. The suspension system is patented and allows you to glide effortlessly on trails in the woods, while minimizing impact on your child's legs and rear. The handbrake that is designed for performance allows you to stop quickly, even when jogging on an uphill slope.

The Ridge is at home in all city scenes including bustling farmers' markets to the street musicians playing music. Its large basket is big enough to hold your finds from the market and all of your baby's essentials while the large canopy offers sun and wind protection. The large front canopy unzips to reveal two mesh peekaboo windows that make it easy to observe your baby's surroundings.

The Ridge's reversible seat lets you to decide if your child is facing the world in front of them or you and its simple foot brake system is easy for parents with young children. The reversible handlebar is a fantastic feature that lets you adjust it according to your height. The Ridge's fold, in contrast to many strollers for jogging, is sturdy and self-standing when folded.

iCandy Core

The new iCandy pushchair comes with a variety of features that will really impress parents. It comes with a multi-mode wheelbase and an LED Visibility Hub light that's the first of its kind in the market. It also features an integrated Ride-on Board, which will save you money in the future and makes it easy for a tired toddler to join you on family outings.

The Core can be bought in a single unit or as an entire travel system. it is compatible with the most popular car seats made by brands such as Cybex, Maxi Cosi and Joie. It has the largest seat unit in the iCandy line, meaning you can use it to help your baby's start and beyond. It's a luxuriously designed pushchair that features premium knitted fabrics. The adjustable handlebar for parents and child's removable bumper bar are made from soft leatherette, while the fold-away calf support is also extremely comfortable for children.

I was amazed by how easy it was to fold and collapse. It only takes one hand with the seat unit attached. It's also easily tucked away in your boot and hallway making it ideal to travel with. The iCandy Core includes a variety of accessories, including the matching changing rucksack, or footmuff/liner.
